First up, we chatted and caught up alittle with one another before we were asked to design our group flag. We had no idea what designs we shld put into the flag to make it meaningful. So after some brainstorming, we decided to draw 4 ppl, each representing us. linking us together are the words, hope village yep 2010 Cambodia. in the middle is a house cos we are going there to build a house and in that house, in the process of us going on this trip, we will bring them joy, hope and love.

Next, we sat in our groups to start the Khmer language session by Ms Doris Chan. We were each given a sheet of paper with the translation of those words that we are supposed to learn before we get on to our trip. There were lots of amusements in the class, especially when our leader, CHAN KAMING, keep making funny sounds out of the language and pronunciations.
Soon, it was the long awaited lunch time!!
The whole yep group went to FC 5 where we had our KFCs, PizzaHut, Subway, Instant noodles. We headed by fast so as to AVOID the USD$1 charge for being 1 Minute late.
We were all feeling sleepy after the filing meal but this is when the fun starts. Linda and Solong introduced us alittle about the culture of Cambodia and even dolled up Samantha and Jinwei with the Cambodian costumes in which they wore during their cultural dance.

We were then asked to push all tables and chairs aside to learn the dance but none of us could really catch the movements. Of course, the MOST DISASTROUS dance item came from again, CHAN KAMING and maybe the rest of the guys, while Mr Ben didn't attempt to try at all. :DAfter some games and laughter, time passed and it was soon 4pm. A final group photo and YAY! We headed home sweet home.
ALL of us, had learned quite alot about the culture and language in Cambodia. For example, what not to say or how to say it etc. This has also definitely sprawl out our leader's interest as he said that he will be able to learn all the 40 words in the paper before we head to Cambodia. The dance, though seems easy but when we tried it, it was totally not an easy task. Not only must our steps synchronize with the hand gestures, our body must also groove and move in a box-like/circle shape? Maybe the girls in this trip just ain't as graceful huh? HAHA!
